Africa’s Cultural Landmarks is a series of 13 short documentaries that form part of an initiative to reframe The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Africa galleries.

Directed by Ethiopian-American Sosena Solomon, episodes include:
• The rock-hewn churches of Lalibela and Tigray in Ethiopia
• Great Zimbabwe, the largest man-made structure in medieval Sub-Saharan Africa
• The Osun-Osogbo Sacred Grove of shrines and sculptures in southwestern Nigeria
• The Tsodilo Hills in Botswana, nicknamed ‘the Louvre of the desert’ for their 4,500 rock art paintings
